The 2018 baseball season will be the first in the dugout for PTHS alum, Nate Hayner, as he takes on duties as Asst. Coach with the FR/SO team.  The Pontiac native is a St. Marys school grad and a 2009, grad of PTHS, and was an 8-time Varsity letter winner in football, basketball & track.  Following time at ISU working with the Redbird basketball program, Coach Hayner spent four years working for the Kessel Basketball AAU program in Chicago as a coach, trainer and tournament director.  He returned to PTHS to work in the Special Education Department and continues to serve on the coaching staff for the Indians football program.  Coach Hayner is a Country Financial agent and resides in Pontiac with his wife, PTHS educator Nicole, & dog, Lambeau.
